Sustainability

Our advisory practice supports businesses and organisations in understanding and managing the pressures emerging from global environmental, social, economic, demographic and health trends.

The impact of issues such as climate change, water resources, renewable energy and nutrition will exert a transformational effect on business models and shape the future landscape of winners and losers across a wide range of sectors.

  • We assist organisations in embedding sustainability concerns into their strategic thinking and processes through the application of tools such as scenario planning and trend analysis.
  • We help organisations engage with stakeholders and policymakers on major sustainability issues.
  • Finally, we aid organisations to interpret sustainability concerns in an emerging and frontier market context, and identify and engage with local stakeholders.

Global Green Growth

A European government

The Issue

A European government sought to realise the growth potential of the transition to a ‘green economy’ by bridging the gap between policy, capital and technology through an annual conference.

The Approach

We acted as a strategic advisor to the government in designing and developing a green growth initiative. We also helped the client to approach potential strategic partners and provided intellectual input to the sector working groups that have been developing key themes for the inaugural conference.

The Result

The client is holding the first annual high-level conference in October 2011. It will bring together 200 global leaders working for green growth in governments, global corporations, investment banks and NGOs.
