Andrew Backhouse
Director of Finance & Chief Operating Officer
Andrew Backhouse joined Oxford Analytica in September 1996 and provides executive leadership to the finance, legal, company secretarial, HR and administrative teams. He is also responsible for the firm's educational sector products and is jointly responsible for the firm's Conference business.
Andy qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Arthur Anderson & Co, where he worked in audit and tax for large international clients, and latterly specialised in providing restructuring and recovery services. Andy was previously a joint founder and Finance Director of Softa, a consulting and software firm that specialised in developing strategies for international corporates to improve business performance. Andy worked with the Chairman on the initial sale to Deloitte Consulting and subsequent sale to Cognos, now part of IBM. Andy received a BSc(Hons) from The University of Aston Business School and is a visiting lecturer in Finance for the MBA Course at The University of Hertfordshire.
