David Pitt-Watson

In addition to his role as Director at Oxford Analytica, David Pitt-Watson is Chief Executive of Hermes UK Focus Fund. It is Europe’s largest shareholder activist fund and the only one in the world to be sponsored by a major investment institution.
Prior to Hermes, David was a founder and ultimately managing director of Braxton Associates, which became the strategic consulting arm of Deloitte Consulting. During his 17 years at Braxton he was responsible for strategy development and delivery in many of the world’s largest multinational companies and in the design and management of public sector reforms.
Beyond this business career, David was for two years the Assistant General Secretary and Finance Director of the Labour Party in the UK. For five years he has served as a visiting professor at Cranfield School of Management. He was a member of the Literacy Task Force whose recommendations formed the basis of the successful school improvement programme.
