- Education and/or work experience relevant to our work (e.g. subjects might include international relations, regional studies, political science, economics, etc.)
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Editing experience a plus
- Quantitative skills a plus
- Meets any required visa regulations (e.g. foreign students with a UK student visa)
Time commitment
Summer internships are full time. We may also offer internships during the December-January term break, depending on departmental needs.
What we offer in return
- Basic pay
- Interesting work – while an intern should expect some administrative and quantitative work, we seek to provide an intern with some substantive work. We will strive to assign summer interns to at least one project that will provide some consistency and a sense of ownership in their work.
- Mentoring – we will provide interns with a mentor to whom they can go to for questions about work or career path.
- An opportunity for interns to meet senior members at OA from different departments.
- An opportunity to learn about our services. Interns are encouraged to attend the morning conference.

We are no longer accepting speculative applications.
